Revolt RV 400 Electric Bike review, Price, Launch Date

Revolt RV 400 is the first-ever Indian fully covered Electric Bike that excites the Indian people to curious to know about this special gift in terms of bike the company provided. Indian electric startup Revolt Intellicorp launched its first all-electric motorcycle, the Revolt RV 400. Grabbing the title of India’s most feature-packed motorcycle in India, the Revolt RV 400 claims to offer the highest range in the country.

One of the most interesting features of the motorcycle is its 'online rechargeability'. While it does not charge itself over the internet, the rider can order batteries online via Revolt’s website. The batteries will be delivered to the rider’s house and are swappable in the motorcycle. However, unlike the 22 Kymco iFlow’s 5 kg swappable batteries, the RV 400’s batteries weigh a whopping 18 kilos apiece.

Interestingly, the Revolt RV400 is suspended on a set of upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, hinting at Revolt's intent to offer a motorcycle that handles well. The bike runs on eight-spoke alloy wheels shod with 90/90 R17 (front) and 120/80 R17 (rear) MRF Zapper tires. Revolt is yet to reveal technical details but the bike showcased to the media confirms that the Revolt's RV400 uses a bolt-on rear subframe along with what appears to be a box-section, aluminum swingarm. More importantly, it uses disc brakes at both ends, though intriguingly, ABS has been given a miss, for now at least. The Revolt's RV400 uses a final belt drive, to reduce part wear, keep overall weight in check as also reduce power losses. There's regenerative braking as well, to aid battery charging.

The revolt has revealed that the Revolt's RV 400 has received an ARAI-certified range of 156km. The company added that the top speed has been capped at 85 mph. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at either end. The electric bike gets an inverted fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. It's available in two color options, Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.

The motorcycle’s aesthetics are inspired by the Super Soco TS, which is a Chinese electric motorcycle that is already available in the international market. It can be safely assumed that Revolt will be collaborating with the Chinese brand in the future for platform development ideas.
