MSI (Full form— Micro-star international) has been a dominant player in the budget gaming laptop industry for a while now. A few years ago, they came up with their budget gaming laptop. In spite of being an entry-level, it performs like a beast. It is a charm to use whether you are surfing the internet or gaming. This device is powered by Intel’s 7^th Gen CPUs paired with NVidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 GPU. This combination provides a true desktop-level graphics performance. Even when you are gaming at full HD 60fps the setting, the device manages to keep cool and quiet, thanks to MSI’s Cooler Boost 4 technology. This laptop is priced in India at around Rs.72, 000 but you can get it at a much cheaper rate if you plan to buy it online.

Design:

This being an entry-level device MSI has decided to go for plastic as the construction material for the entire casing, with a finish that simulates brushed metal. The overall design and build quality is premium, But you should not be expecting the build quality to be like their aluminum Unibody flagship killers. I personally feel that the device’s build quality is a little downside. When it comes to weight, this baby from MSI weighs only 2.2kgs making it one of the most portable gaming laptops in the market.

Performance & Storage:

When it comes to performance even while extreme gaming, this MSI’s baby does not disappoint. Packed with the latest 7^th 7700HQ Gen Intel GPU and desktop level GPU (Up to 4 GB NVidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 GPU), this can crush most of the high-end titles. If you are not a gamer but you deal with a lot of 3D rendering or any type of graphics editing, this device has got you covered. The default RAM provided by the company is 8GB DDR4, but you can max it up to 32 GB.

This device also comes with the industry-leading NVME (Non-Volatile Memory Express) storage with M.2 form factor. The memory stick is not provided as a default but you can swipe in a nvme stick anytime.

Keyboard for this device or any MSI laptop is provided by Steelseries, the keyboard is a delight to type on. The red-backlit keyboard with the silver lining print feels very premium and the sound of the keystroke is quite minimal. This keyboard is built to last!

MSI is also known for its intensive cooling system. The cooler boost technology helps to keep your device cool even while extensive gaming. Five copper heating pipes helps to dissipate heat from the GPU and CPU to the cooling fans.

  

Battery & Connectivity:

This MSI device is juiced with 6 cells removable battery, which lasts up to 2.5 Hrs. on web surfing/document editing and up to 1.5 Hrs. while gaming.

It is equipped with one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, it also has a USB Type-C port for faster data transfers. HDMI port allows you to connect to an external display or a gaming console.

Other connectivity includes: Mini display port, headphone jack, SD card reader and LAN port.
